The Lone Rider, with sidekick Al "Fuzzy" St. John, comes to aid Smokey and the gunfights are tremendous. Then the film takes a softer tone as Houston courts the gorgeous Marjorie Manners, crooning tunes like "Let Me Keep Roamin' the Prairie" and "The Grass is Always Green in Sunshine Valley."
